WELCOME to CAROLINA PANACHE! I believe our homes should be a haven, a place of beauty and peace that reflect who we are and what's important to us. I'm on a journey to add personality and panache to every corner of my house. For me, good design evolves, grows and changes with the needs of one's lifestyle. I want my home to be creative, to be stylish, to be entertaining, to be real. I hope you will join me on my journey. It's always more fun to travel together.
This blog is all about bringing style and elegance to the home. The art of dressing your home goes beyond hanging a few items on the wall and arranging furniture. Much like a fabulous set of earrings or a new stylish handbag may take your little black dress from fine to fabulous, home accesories and key furnishings can take your rooms from ho-hum to singing the Halleluiah Chorus! Join with me as we discover new ways to add panache to every room of the house.

These are a few of my favorite things....

Welcome to TABLESCAPE THURSDAY! I was going to do a special table featuring Roses and some lovely dishes I picked up however I will keep that until next week. Usually I go all out for this fun party but I haven't been feeling well these past two days so I thought I would do a simple post about a few of my favorite things. Hey, that sounds like a song. ;-) I am going to tell this story in black and white. Even devoid of color these are still some of my favorite things. ORCHIDS - I have suddenly fallen in love with orchids. White ones especially. This lovely potted plant is a new purchase. I have found a home for it in my foyer atop the little black chest that my hubby "re-made" for me.
Crystal, silver and white dishes! To me nothing says elegant table more than these three. I love to start my special occasion tables with these three then add a punch of color in my table linens based on the season or the reason for the dinner.

Several years ago I decided to invest in all white china and stoneware. I saw a pattern that I fell in love with and began to build my collection around that pattern. I was able to collect a service for 10 before the pattern was discontinued. I was also able to acquire several of the serving pieces. Dinner by candlelight is always romantic. I love the way the candlelight glows and reflects off the crystal and silver accents. Of course anytime your hubby pulls out that famous little blue box from Tiffany's, well that makes your dinner especially nice.

I hope you have enjoyed this little tour. For more incredible tables and tons of inspiration be sure to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Next week I'll share my new "Everything's Coming Up Roses" table. Until then,
Happy Decorating!
Alisa

Hi, I came over from Melissa's blog. Home Interior used to be popular in our area but I haven't been invited to any parties for ages. I had no idea that so many beautiful things in different styles had been introduced.

I love white. I bought a set of white dishes long ago, very cheap and have used them for 20 years. I really would like to find a pattern and replace them. They can live at my daughters house for the next 20 years.
As always I have enjoyed my visit to your blog. Have a great day. Maryrose
PS - love the black and white photos.

This is just so pretty, a nice alternative to the norm on TT. Love the black & white photos. The white really contrast nicely this way.

Very elegant. Love your white china and especially, the silver.

What gorgeous pictures of some gorgeous dishes! The black and white pictures make everything look so elegant! Thanks for popping by to see me. My Grandparents lived just like that! Almost everything on my grandma's table came from their farm.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
