WELCOME to CAROLINA PANACHE! I believe our homes should be a haven, a place of beauty and peace that reflect who we are and what's important to us. I'm on a journey to add personality and panache to every corner of my house. For me, good design evolves, grows and changes with the needs of one's lifestyle. I want my home to be creative, to be stylish, to be entertaining, to be real. I hope you will join me on my journey. It's always more fun to travel together.
This blog is all about bringing style and elegance to the home. The art of dressing your home goes beyond hanging a few items on the wall and arranging furniture. Much like a fabulous set of earrings or a new stylish handbag may take your little black dress from fine to fabulous, home accesories and key furnishings can take your rooms from ho-hum to singing the Halleluiah Chorus! Join with me as we discover new ways to add panache to every room of the house.

Target Birdies take a Spring Break

Hello! Welcome! I trust everyone had a wonderful Easter and that your spring is filled with gorgeous weather and plenty of sunshine. I've had a fun filled week keeping up with the escapades of two adventerous Target Birdies - Wilmer and Maxine. Now Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch declared April 15th as Target Birds on Holiday so I thought I would tag along with Wilmer and Maxine while they took a little R and R. Boy, have they been busy on a Spring Break road trip. Let's check in on them to see what they've been up to.Now these Target Birds are cousins with the Salt and Pepper clan. Their mother, Tealight Holder was a sister to Mr. Salt and Pepper. These birds were seen on Thursday last week as they were leaving for a road trip headed south for warmer temperatures and lots of sun.
Wow! That's an awful lot of luggage for two small birds. They must be going away for a while.

Looks like they've found a comfy perch on the dash so they can take in the view along the way.

Checking in to a Hampton Inn after the first day of travel provided the pair with a good night's sleep and plenty of rest and energy for the second half of their trip.

They eventually made it to the GA State Line and stopped long enough at the Welcome Center to stretch their wings and take a potty break. Of course a quick picture was needed for Maxine's scrapbook.

After several more hours of drive time, Wilmer and Maxine arrived in the Sunshine State of Florida. Another potty break at the state's Welcome Center provided an opportunity to take a few more pictures.

Now Wilmer and Maxine are huge Tampa Rays fans and when they heard that their beloved Rays would be celebrating Opening Week while they were on Spring Break, they just had to buy tickets for the opening game against the Yankees.

There isn't a bad seat in Tropicana Field and Wilmer and Maxine literally had a bird's eye view.

The two twins shared seat 15 in row U of the upper deck.

It was a night to remember - the raising of the American League Championship banner, an exhilarating victory over the NY Yankees - 15 to 5 Rays, and a wonderful break from Tablescape duty. Who knows where this pair will turn up next? I have a feeling we will see them sunbathing at the beach before their trip is over. With those fair feathers, I hope they packed some heavy duty sunscreen. Stay tuned for more Adventures of Wilmer and Maxine.
Have a Happy Spring Break!

It's good that Wilmer could take a break from painting to take a trip with lovely Maxine.
Also, good to have their personal assistant be the "wind beneath their wings" under the Florida sign.
