WELCOME to CAROLINA PANACHE! I believe our homes should be a haven, a place of beauty and peace that reflect who we are and what's important to us. I'm on a journey to add personality and panache to every corner of my house. For me, good design evolves, grows and changes with the needs of one's lifestyle. I want my home to be creative, to be stylish, to be entertaining, to be real. I hope you will join me on my journey. It's always more fun to travel together.
This blog is all about bringing style and elegance to the home. The art of dressing your home goes beyond hanging a few items on the wall and arranging furniture. Much like a fabulous set of earrings or a new stylish handbag may take your little black dress from fine to fabulous, home accesories and key furnishings can take your rooms from ho-hum to singing the Halleluiah Chorus! Join with me as we discover new ways to add panache to every room of the house.

My Life and Style

Spring Break is over and it's time for me to get back to work!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday. You can tell from the new look of my blog that I'm moving past Easter and headed straight for the warm months of spring and summer which are lining up to be some very busy and exciting months. While I was in Florida for the past 10 days, I had the honor of being a guest on HOMEKEEPERS, a weekly TV program aired on CTN (the Christian Television Network). HomeKeepers is hosted by Arthelene Rippy whose experience as an on-air personality spans two decades. Arthelene had seen my blog and learned of my departure from the corporate world to follow my heart to a place where God had called me - the launching of a new women's ministry called Life and Style by God's Design.
Some of you know my BFF, Bella~Mella or better known as Melanie Dorsey. Over a year ago we felt a stirring in our hearts to combine our strengths and abilities to form a women's ministry that would focus on the woman as the heart of the home. Here we are preparing to go on the set of HomeKeepers to share our message - a real way of living that is abundant in both life and style. We share real life solutions for today's women and homes covering everything from relationships to doable home decor and organization to stylish, chic fashion for every woman .

Melanie preps ingredients in the set kitchen for her Vineyard Chicken Salad recipe that we shared on the program.

On-air personality and our host, Arthelene Rippy, with Melanie and I after the taping of the show. HomeKeepers is a daily half-hour program that seeks to elevate the importance of women and home life. The program has been on the air for over 8 years and has an enormous following. Our program will be aired Monday, April 20th.

During the interview session, we were able to share a little about our D.E.S.I.G.N. sessions and background. For more details about these sessions go to LifeandStylebyDesign.

Melanie is a gifted speaker, teacher and writer. Here she is sharing with Arthelene highlights on a session she teaches called Discover Your Design. Each woman is designed with a God-given purpose. Our gifts, abilities and passions support that purpose. Melanie shows women how to uncover their purpose and live in grace and beauty.

I shared a special nature-inspired tablescape. I bet you would love to know how I used those garden boots, huh? (See photo below) Well, you can log on to CTNonline.com on Monday, April 20th to find out. The program is available on Live Streaming video at 5:30am and 1:00pm EST. Alisa, I did not know of your life change. How wonderful, and what a great idea to minister to women. I have been praying about a ministry for myself as I am newly retired, and I know that there is something else out there for me to do. How wonderful that you have a friend to share this endeavor with you!
By the way, I am in love with the necklace that you wore in the pictures!
Great blog!

Boo Hoo! We do not get CTN Network. Then I went to it online this A.M. and I was too late! I missed it by two minutes. I work during the day so I did not get to see it this afternoon. Please let us know if it is repeated on CTN.

What a wonderful endeavor for you and your friend. Good Luck! Nancy from OHIO
